     The Ribo-Zero (Bacteria) kit is compatible with bacteria (mixed populations of gram-negative

     and gram-positive bacteria) samples. This kit removes bacterial rRNA.

     Performance Specifications
     Compare rRNA content before and after a Ribo-Zero reaction to assess the depletion of rRNA in total RNA.
     A Ribo-Zero reaction removes:
     > 99% of large cytoplasmic rRNA and large mitochondrial and chloroplast rRNA, as applicable.
     > 85% to 95% of small rRNA (eg, 5S).
     The success of rRNA removal depends on factors such as species, sample quality, and sequence homology

     between the rRNA sample and removal solution, especially with 5S rRNA removal.
